Hannah Donohoe is an English composer and audio editor based in London, learning the violin from the age of six and the piano from the age of eight. Hannah developed a passion for orchestral sound after performing with the Camden Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. Her first live performance outside school was at the Wigmore Hall at the age of seven, and performed at school concerts in St Vincent’s RC Primary school and Sacred Heart High School until she was sixteen. At this age she acquired her first Apple Macbook, and began experimenting on the sounds she could produce and mould digitally. It was at this point she realised she had developed her knowledge and understanding of classical music to a level she was happy to move on from, and wanted to explore more in the music field.

She studied music technology for two years at St Marylebone Sixth Form, and composed and designed sound on Logic Pro in her spare time. During this two year period she learnt the potential of recording techniques, and the power of sound design at school, and transferred this into her own orchestral compositions at home. In 2010, she knew she wanted to expand her knowledge of music technology in order to create the best tools and sound for her compositions. It was in this year she started her degree in creative music technology, where she developed her theoretical knowledge, aesthetic understanding and technical skills in music technology, focussed in sound design, laptop musicianship, recording techniques, electroacoustics, interdisciplinary performance, and film and game audio. She graduated in 2013 with a well-respected 2:1 in Creative Music Technology BA (Hons). Since then, she has gained experience in recording studios; editing audio, managing studio sessions and assisting in record production.
